Immigration Solutions That Protect & Empower

Immigration law can be complex, and every case is different. Our office represents individuals and families in a wide range of immigration matters—from defending against deportation to obtaining lawful permanent residence and U.S. citizenship.

Removal & Deportation Defense

Facing removal or deportation proceedings can put your ability to remain in the United States at risk. We represent individuals before the Immigration Courts and pursue all available forms of relief, including:

  • Asylum, Withholding of Removal, and protection under the Convention Against Torture (CAT)
  • Cancellation of Removal
  • Adjustment of Status
  • Motions to Reopen, Reconsider, or Terminate Removal Proceedings
  • Appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
  • Voluntary Departure

Whether you have recently been placed in removal proceedings or have already received a decision from an Immigration Judge, our office can evaluate your case and determine what options may be available.

ICE Detention & Habeas Corpus

If you or a loved one has been detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), there may be legal options available to challenge continued detention and seek release.

Our office evaluates the circumstances of each detention to determine whether the individual may be eligible for:

  • A bond hearing before an Immigration Judge
  • Release from ICE custody
  • A renewed request for bond based on materially changed circumstances
  • A federal habeas corpus petition challenging unlawful or prolonged immigration detention

When appropriate, we pursue relief before the Immigration Courts and through habeas corpus proceedings in federal court.

Family-Based Immigration

U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents may be able to help qualifying family members obtain lawful immigration status in the United States.

We assist with:

  • Petitions for spouses
  • Petitions for parents
  • Petitions for children and stepchildren
  • Petitions for siblings
  • Adjustment of Status for eligible family members already in the United States
  • Consular Processing for family members applying for immigrant visas abroad

We assist families throughout the immigration process, from filing the initial family petition through obtaining lawful permanent residence.

Consular Processing

If you are applying for an immigrant visa from outside the United States, our office can guide you through the consular processing stage from application through interview.

We assist with:

  • Completion and submission of immigrant visa applications
  • Submission of required civil and financial documents
  • Preparing you for your consular interview
  • Identifying potential grounds of inadmissibility or other issues before the interview
  • Responding to requests for additional documents or information

Our goal is to ensure that you understand each step of the process and are fully prepared when it is time to attend your immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

Green Cards & Adjustment of Status

There are several pathways to becoming a lawful permanent resident of the United States.

We assist eligible individuals with obtaining green cards through:

  • Marriage and other qualifying family relationships
  • Asylum
  • Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS)
  • Other qualifying immigration categories

We can evaluate your immigration history and determine whether you may be eligible to apply for lawful permanent residence from within the United States or through a U.S. consulate abroad.

Asylum

If you are afraid to return to your home country because you have suffered persecution or fear future persecution, you may qualify for asylum in the United States.

Asylum protection may be available when the persecution you suffered or fear is connected to your:

  • Race
  • Religion
  • Nationality
  • Political opinion
  • Membership in a particular social group

We represent asylum seekers before both U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Immigration Courts.

U.S. Citizenship & Naturalization

For many lawful permanent residents, becoming a U.S. citizen is the final step in their immigration journey.

We assist eligible lawful permanent residents with applications for naturalization, including preparing the application, preparing for the naturalization interview, and addressing immigration-history issues that may arise during the citizenship process.

Humanitarian Visas & Immigration Relief

Immigration law provides special protections for certain individuals who have been victims of crime, human trafficking, abuse, or other difficult circumstances.

We assist with:

  • U Visas for qualifying victims of certain crimes who have suffered substantial physical or mental abuse and assist law enforcement
  • T Visas for qualifying survivors of human trafficking
  • DACA Renewals for eligible recipients of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals

We work with clients to identify the humanitarian protections that may be available based on their individual circumstances.

Immigration Waivers

Certain immigration violations or grounds of inadmissibility do not necessarily mean that your immigration case is over. Depending on your circumstances, a waiver may allow you to overcome an immigration barrier and continue pursuing lawful status.

We assist with:

  • Form I-601 — Application for Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility
  • Form I-601A — Application for Provisional Unlawful Presence Waiver
  • Form I-212 — Application for Permission to Reapply for Admission After Deportation or Removal

Because waiver eligibility depends heavily on an individual’s immigration history and circumstances, we carefully evaluate each case to determine the appropriate strategy.

Special Immigrant Juvenile Status & Custody

Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), sometimes referred to as a juvenile visa, provides a pathway to lawful immigration status for certain children and young people in the United States who have been abused, abandoned, or neglected by one or both parents in their home country.

The SIJS process generally begins by obtaining an appropriate order from a state court. Our office assists qualifying young people and their families with:

  • Custody proceedings and other qualifying state-court orders
  • Special Immigrant Juvenile petitions with USCIS
  • Adjustment of Status and green card applications when eligible

SIJS can provide an important pathway toward lawful permanent residence for eligible young people who cannot safely reunify with one or both of their parents.

Military Parole in Place

Certain spouses, parents, widows or widowers, and children of current or former members of the U.S. military may qualify for Military Parole in Place.

For eligible individuals who entered the United States without inspection, Military Parole in Place may provide an important pathway toward obtaining lawful permanent residence without having to leave the United States.

Our office assists military families with evaluating eligibility, preparing Military Parole in Place applications, and pursuing the appropriate next steps toward lawful immigration status.
